WebJunction’s Live Space for libraries

Posted in tech.no.logy by ranti on January 27th, 2007

WebJunction just released a web conferencing service for libraries. This service allow libraries to offer Bibliographic Instruction/Information Literacy workshops for their users.

For just $2000 per year, unlimited access, this is a darn cheap service for institutions that offer plenty of library-related workshops.

ACM-SIGWEB - PhD theses repository

Posted in The Usual by ranti on January 27th, 2007

SIGWEB (Special Interest Group on Hypertext, Hypermedia and the Web) from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) just created a PhD theses repository.

ACM-SIGWEB PhD Theses Repository website

Certainly a nice place to find theses on a specific topic (rather than searching through campus-wide instutional repositories). I’d be interested to know how they would manage the links and prevent link rots.
